My Five Favorite Things - 2020

This year has been tough, but these five things have helped make my year a little better.  Here's my 2020 list of favorite things, and why they're my favorite.

In no particular order:

1.  Petlab Co Itch Relief for Dogs

I have a bulldog, who has pretty bad allergies.  He'll scratch his face to the point of bleeding if he's not watched.  We took him to the vet to get allergy medicine, and we even tried changing his food, but he still seemed to scratch just as much.  I probably was targeted through some google internet cookies, but I'm glad I saw Petlab's ad for these chews.  Ever since I started giving him these daily chews, the scratching hasn't totally stopped, but it's significantly decreased.  His skin has been looking better too.

2.  Trader Joe's Organic Sparkling Yerba Mate

This has helped me ween myself off of all of the Bang energy drinks and Monsters I was drinking first thing in the morning.  I tried to go back to coffee, but I don't always have time to make a pot.  Also, drive through windows have been pretty busy with the inside of restaurants being closed.  These bottles of yerba mate are convenient, pretty cheap, and they taste better than the black coffee I would drink.  If you stop by a Trader Joe's, grab one to try out.  I've grow to like them.  They don't have a ton of caffine, but they help me wake up early in the morning.

3.  Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Subscription

I never thought I'd buy this, but this Game Pass subscription service has been so clutch.  I'm pretty sure my son and I use this more than Netflix or YouTube TV.  The Ultimate subscriptions gives you access to hundreds of games, Xbox live service, and all of the EA Play games.  1st party games are also available on day 1!  Maybe when things eventually get back to normal outside, I won't need this subscription, but I don't see it going anywhere any time soon.

Since I've had so much time on my hands, I thought it would be a perfect time to learn some Spanish.  It's still very hard for me to concentrate on learning a new language, but I found out that the small doses of learning that this app offers me works.  I've been using Duolingo for most of the year, and although I still can't have a full conversation, I can understand many words and can even help my son with some of his Spanish homework questions when he gets stuck.  It's a free app, that I'll continue to use well past 2020.

5.  Kit Kat Duos Mocha

Ok, so this one is pretty new, but I think it's delicious!  I really liked the mint duo Kit Kat's when they came out, but I like this one even more.  It tastes like a crunchy wafer cappuccino.  Whenever I find them in a store, I buy them.  So, if you spot some, try them out.  They'll also make for great stocking stuffers.

2020 is almost over!  Every item on my list is either free or relatively cheap, so try one out, and maybe it will help make you last few weeks of this year a little better.  Thanks for reading.
