As soon as I showed the smiling older lady my phone receipt, she rolled her eyes. She now had to put down the highlighter and use an electronic device that she told me wasn't working. When she saw that I was being patient and wasn't going to the customer service desk, she started punching all the buttons until her handheld scanner came online. After a quick scan and count of my cart items, I was out the door. I didn't save much time on that trip, but hopefully the people checking at the door will get better at scanning as more people use the app to pay.
One other thing about the app I didn't like was that it kept asking me for permission to access my location even after it was connected to the store WiFi and displayed the store location. Kind of annoying.
