Replace Outlet with a Switch

I replaced an outlet with a switch today for the first time, and initially thought I was going to have to explain to my wife why the lamp was no longer controlled by the wall switch.  Luckily, I remembered to check YouTube.  You have to break off the metal tab between the two hot screws if using a switch.  Other than that, I had everything else correct.  Here's the video that helped me https://youtu.be/tYinqtVDNcA .
