Before you go looking for a streaming music service battle, I just want to inform you that I won't really be talking about Apple Music or Spotify. I just know that they're both services that you can pay a monthly service fee to use, and that they're probably worth the $10/month or so price. As for me, I'd rather not pay for something when I don't really need to. Here are a couple services I use for free music downloads and streaming.
Both of these services were found by visiting the webpage of a local library.
Please check the website of your local library to see if either or both of these amazing services is available to you. As long as free services like Freegal and Hoopla are available, I'll skip the $10/month music service.

Freegal
Freegal is awesome! Freegal has thousands of songs and music videos that you can download for free. You can stream any of their music titles as much as you like. The best part is that you can download and keep up to 6 songs per week! You can download directly to your PC or laptop, and you can also use the mobile app to download to your smart device.Hoopla
Hoopla is also awesome! Hoopla is a streaming service that's not just for music. You are able to borrow movies, tv shows, audio books, and music albums. Borrow up to 10 titles per month and stream those titles as much as you like. You can even download the titles for offline viewing or listening during the time you have the title borrowed, which makes it a must have app for traveling. Please check the website of your local library to see if either or both of these amazing services is available to you.
